Special Agenda Item for July 11 Meeting

Given the importance of BSA and the fact that many credit unions are creating a position just for BSA, the Compliance Roundtable is considering setting up a BSA/AML/OFAC Committee. In April an email was sent out through the CACR Listserv requesting input on this proposal, specifically:

Are there BSA compliance staff at your CU who don’t attend the Compliance Roundtable? How many?
Would people with BSA Compliance responsibility like the idea of a separate committee?

• What features should the separate committee have?

• A list of BSA Compliance staff at CUs with contact information.

• A separate listserv.

• Separate meetings.

• Other

We received several responses to this proposal and it has been added to the Agenda of the July 11 meeting. If you are unable to make the meeting, but would like to submit your comments, please send an email to Shawn Michael (SMichael@nihfcu.org) by July 7, 2008.
